Born on February 27, 1989, in PG County, Maryland, Cameron “Cam Kirk” Kirkland was destined for a life behind the lens. With a father who was a photographer, Cam got his first taste of the craft as his dad's assistant on projects.
Back in 2007 at Morehouse College, Cam caught the photography bug. Grinding through the years, he made his mark in the photography and videography industry, earning his stripes as one of the most credible visual storytellers.
But Cam Kirk wasn't content with personal success alone. He identified a gap in the creative landscape, a missing safe haven for artists to hone their skills, market themselves, and connect with like-minded individuals. In July of 2017, he opened the doors to Cam Kirk Studios. This creative hub aimed to provide a space for young, aspiring artists to not only create but also showcase their work. Today, the studio handles over 500 appointments a month.
Taking his commitment to uplift creatives a step further, Cam founded Collective Gallery, essentially a label for photographers. Just as one would invest in the future of the next big rapper, Cam signs photographers, investing in their artistic growth and business endeavors.
On October 2nd, 2023, Cam Kirk Studios opened the Billionaire Boys Club Creators Lab, a collaborative venture with Billionaire Boys Club. In this space, creatives have access to a variety of tools, including Microsoft Surface devices, Adobe design suites, 3D machinery, a gaming and streaming room, and more. This space is a nurturing environment for artists to flourish and push the limits of their creativity.
