After graduating with her Master’s in 2009, Bowe continued working for NASA as an aerospace engineer for over five years. In 2013, while still at NASA, she founded STEMBoard, which has now grown into an eight-figure company advising the U.S. government and elite organizations. STEMBoard has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in America by Inc. 5000 and has received awards for its work with the Department of Defense. In 2023. she recieved a $947 million contract to further scale and grow STEMBoard.
Passionate about empowering students, Bowe fundraised nearly $2 million in 2013 to create LINGO, a self-paced coding kit used by over 5,000 students in 10 different countries. The kits are available on major platforms like Amazon, Walmart, and Target.
Scheduled to go to space in 2024 on the New Shepard rocket as the first Black woman, part of Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin, @aishabowe will become the sixth-ever Black woman to travel to space.
